David Ortiz will go down as perhaps the greatest designated hitters of all time, setting marks for home runs, RBI and hits. On the front left tail is a “RUSSELL ATHLETIC” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached below is a “2004” year tag and two flag tags that read, “54 100% POLYESTER” and “+1” EXTRA LENGTH” respectively. Across the chest reads, “RED SOX” and on the back is the player number “34”. These are done in the same navy blue on white tackle twill sewn directly onto the red jersey. On the left sleeve is a Russell Athletic logo embroidered. On the rear neckline is the official “MLB” logo embroidered. On the player number “4” is PSA/DNA sticker “F94914”. Adjacent to the player number “4”, Ortiz signed the jersey in black pen with the added inscription, “Game Use 04” and in our opinion, rates an 8 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and an additional LOA.
