Wade Boggs was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005 on the first ballot. Boggs is a World Series champion, a 12-time All-Star, won eight Silver Slugger Awards and was a five-time American League batting champion. In 1983, Boggs earned both Silver Slugger Awards and took home the AL batting crown by hitting .361. On the front left tail is a “Wilson” size “42” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Below is a white swatch with the year “83” embroidered on it in navy blue chain-stitching. Across the chest reads, “RED SOX” and on the back is the player number “26”. All numbering and lettering are done in red on navy blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the white jersey. There are dirt stains above the player number. Boggs signed the jersey on the front right tail in blue pen with the added inscription, “10/11/86” and in our opinion rates a 7 overall. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and an additional LOA.
