“Wilson” manufactured football. The ball has been stamped with “Official NFL”, “American Football Conference - National Football Conference” and commissioner Pete Rozelle’s facsimile signature. On the white “Wilson” panel is a “PSA/DNA” sticker with serial number “X00133”. The football has been signed in faded black marker by 48 members of the 1987 Los Angeles Rams. During the 1987 season, a player strike took place after Week 2 and replacement players were used for Weeks 4 through 6. A majority of the signatures on this football include those of the Rams replacement players from that three-week span. Notable signatures include Charles White (1987 Pro Bowler, First Team All-Pro & PFW NFL Comeback Player of the Year), Marion (Suge) Knight, Dale Hatcher and Nolan Cromwell. Additional signatures include: Cullen Bryant with the added inscription “#32”, Alvin Wright, Mike McDonald, Tom Taylor, Dennis Edwards, Greg Williamson with the added inscription “#43”, Neil Hope with the added inscription “#96”, Chris Matau with the added inscription “#51”, Donald Evans with the added inscription “#34”, Ed Zeman with the added inscription “#41”, Malcolm Moore with the added inscriptions “#84” and “Romans 8:28 God Bless You”, Joe Murray, Sam Johnson, John Francis, Alonzo Williams, Cary Whittingham, Craig Rutledge, Phil Smith, Navy Tuiasosopo with the added inscription “#68”, Stacey Mobley, Kyle Whittingham, Hank Goebel, Casey Tiumalu, Tom Cox, Bernard Quarles, Rick DiBernardo and Kyle Borland. In our opinion the signatures rate from a 7 to a 9 overall with most being an 8. The ball is in NM-MNT condition. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA and an additional LOA from PSA/DNA.
