“SPALDING” manufactured leather football with three white panels. Stamped on the ball is “AMERICAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE” and Commissioner Pete Rozelle’s facsimile signature. The ball has been signed by 66 former members of Kansas City Chiefs, most of which were on the 1969 Championship team. Notable signatures include Hall of Famers Len Dawson, Emmitt Thomas, Jan Stenerud and Buck Buchanan. Additional signatures include: Ray Kubala, Bob Stein, Willie Ellison, E.J Holub, Remi Prudhomme, Jerry Mays, Mickey McCarthy, George Daney, Ceasar Belser, Mo Moorman, Mike Garrett, Sam Longmire, Goldie Sellers, Dave Hill, Fred Arbanas, Otis Taylor, Willie Mitchell, Bill Murphy, Aaron Brown, Jim Kearney, Jim Lynch, Ed Lothamer, Johnny Robinson, Bert Coan and Bud Abell. All signatures are done in a variety of inks, in our opinion the signatures rate from a 6 to a 9. It is possible this may be a reunion signed ball as some players featured are from different years.
