Late 1930s Vernon "Lefty" Gomez New York Yankees Road Flannel Jersey Custom-Made For His Infant Child

On the inner rear collar is the “SPALDING” manufacturer’s tag on a grey strip tag along with “V Gomez 11” in red chain-stitching. Across the back is the player number “11” in navy blue felt. We were told by our consignor that the jersey was acquired from former neighbors of the Gomez family.
