Vintage silver-like trophy stands approximately 23-¾” tall and 12” at its widest point, it weighs 5.5 lbs. The top of the 88-year-old trophy features a statuette of a baseball player holding a bat, the bat has cracked at the handle and needs repair. The “cup” portion of the trophy sits atop a black bakelite base, it has been engraved to read “THE WYOMING SHOVEL WORKS - DEPARTMENTAL BASE BALL LEAGUE - THIS CUP TO BECOME THE PROPERTY OF THE DEPARTMENT WINNING IT IN TWO SUCCESSIVE YEARS”. The verso of the cup has been engraved to read “WON BY - 1926 HEAT TREATING DEPT. - 1927 - FORGE SHOP DEPT.” A small medallion inside the base reads “DODGE, INC. TROPHIES - NEWARK - MIAMI - CHICAGO - LOS ANGELES”. The trophy is in VG overall condition with moderate tarnishing.
