The baseball is sans manufacturing stamping. On the bottom of one panel is a hole where the ball used to be mounted. The ball has been signed by Hall of Famer Babe Ruth and former Yankees batboy from the 1920s, William Bendix. Bendix was also an actor in his latter years and played Babe Ruth in the film “The Babe Ruth Story”. Ruth and Bendix have signed in blue and black inks respectively and in our opinion rate a strong 6 overall. The ball is in fair condition. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA for the Ruth signature only. JSA was unable to form an opinion on the Bendix signature as it was non-maliciously traced by the recipient to preserve it as a keepsake. We were told by our consignor that his father got it signed around 1939.
