“Rawlings” manufactured ONL Coleman baseball. This ball was used on September 7, 1998 during a game in which the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Chicago Cubs by a score of 3-2 and Mark McGwire tied Roger Maris’ single-season home run record, set in 1961, by hitting his 61st home run of the season. The ball has been signed by 7-time All-Star, 3-time Gold Glove winner, 2-time NL Batting Champion, 2-time World Series Champion and St. Louis Cardinals hitting coach in 1998 Dave Parker with the added inscription “9-7-98 GAME USED BALL - Big MAC HR #61”, in our opinion the signature rates an 8. The ball shows excellent signs of game-use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA and an additional LOA from Parker on a St. Louis Cardinals letterhead.
