Approximately 27” x 40” movie poster from the 1992 film “A League of Their Own”. On November 5, 1988, the Baseball Hall of Fame officially opened an exhibit featuring women in baseball. It was on that day, this movie would be born. Written on the poster in black ink, penned in an unknown hand is “From the All Americans A League of Their Own”. The poster has been signed by Dorothy "Dottie" Kamenshek with the added inscription “Rockford Peaches 1st Base 1943-51, 1953 HOF 11-5-88”, Nickie Fox (Helen Nicol) with the added inscription “Rockford Peaches 1943-1954 HOF 11-5-88”, Margaret "Marge" Wenzell with the added inscription “South Bend Blue Sox 1945-1953 H.O.F. 11-5-88”, Lavone A. "Pepper" Paire Davis with the added inscription “Racine Belles #7 1944-53 Catcher All American Girls Baseball H.O.F. 11-5-88” and Alice "Lefty" Hohlmayer with the added inscription “Kenosha Comets 1946-1951 HOF 11-5-88”. All signatures are done in the same black ink and in our opinion rate a near perfect 10 overall. The poster is in MNT condition. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
