Moses was a three-time MVP and was named to the NBA’s 50th Anniversary All-Time Team and the ABA All-Time Team. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001. On the front right tail of the jersey is the “Rawlings” manufacturer’s tag with size “38” and wash instructions. This shirt is a size 38, which leads us to believe it was worn early in Malone’s NBA career. There are documented examples of Malone wearing size 40 from his tenure in the ABA and from the manner in which he preferred his shirts to fit, lead us to believe that the smaller size 38 is acceptable. As time progressed, Malone became bigger and the style of the jerseys became more loose fitting. Across the front reads “ROCKETS”. Adjacent below and on back is the player number “24”. The “4” on front is partially detached. Across the back is the player name “MALONE”. All lettering and numbering is done in the same red tackle twill. On the inner rear waistband of the shorts is the “Rawlings” manufacturer’s tag with size “36”, wash instructions and the player number “24” written in black marker. Adjacent to the right is an indecipherable white strip tag. On the outer right leg is the “HOUSTON ROCKETS” logo screenprinted in red and yellow. The shirt shows significant fading on the front, likely due to being framed. The uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use.
