For 13 seasons with the Boston Celtics, Bird personified hustle, consistency and excellence in all areas of play; as a scorer, a passer, a rebounder, a defender, a team player, and, perhaps above all, as a clutch performer. Few played tougher than Bird, who would leap into crowds and over press tables for loose balls. Bird was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1998 and is a Top 50 All-Time player. On the front left tail of the jersey is the “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag with size “46”. Adjacent above is another “Sand-Knit” tag reading “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the BOSTON CELTICS”. On the right inseam is the “100% NYLON” tag with wash instructions. On the left chest is the official “NBA” logo embroidered in red, white and blue. Across the front reads “CELTICS”. Adjacent below and on back is the player “33”. Across the back is the player name “BIRD”. All lettering and numbering is done in the same green tackle twill. On the inner rear waistband is the “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag with size “36” and the player number “33” written in black marker. Adjacent to the left is another “Sand-Knit” tag reading “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the BOSTON CELTICS”. On the rear inseam is the “100% NYLON” tag with wash instructions. On the front right leg is the official “NBA” logo embroidered in red, white and blue. The uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
