Arnold Rothstein was an American racketeer and businessman who became kingpin of the Jewish mob in New York. He was most notably known for his alleged fixing of the 1919 World Series, known as the “Black Sox Scandal”. Approximately 3” x 3.5” silver cigarette case. Engraved on the front of the case are the initial “AR”. The cigarette case is in NM-MNT condition. Accompanied by a Brian Feehan Estate LOA that states, “My grandfather Joseph Feehan was a detective at the time for the city of New York and was first to arrive at Mr. Rothstein’s shooting...He picked it [cigarette case] up and put it in his pocket with the intention of returning the case to him when he was released from the hospital.
