Kennedy was an 8-time Pro Bowler and was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2012. “Riddell” manufactured “VSR-4” helmet. Adjacent below the left ear hole is the player number “96” in black Dymo tape. Adjacent to the left is a “NOCSAE” recertification decal from 1996. Adjacent below the right ear hole is the player name “C. KENNEDY” also in black Dymo tape. “Riddell” manufactured blue facemask with no chinstrap present. The white plastic bumper reads “Riddell” in red, the two facemask clips read “G” and “C”. On the back of the helmet is the official “NFL” shield decal. Adjacent to the right an “All American L” sticker and an injury warning decal. Over the injury warning decal is a “PRO BOWL 1997” sticker. The backplate of the helmet reads “Seahawks” in blue. The Seattle “Seahawk” logo appears on the left and right sides of the helmet in white, blue and green. Kennedy has signed the helmet in black marker with the added inscriptions “Best Wishes” and “96”, in our opinion the signature rates a 7. The helmet is properly labeled, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use with numerous gashes and some scuffing to the outer dome. We were told by our consignor that this helmet was obtained from Merton Hanks, current NFL Vice President of Operations and Kennedy's teammate on the 1999 Seattle Seahawks. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
