The 2006 World Series features the St. Louis Cardinals, Champions of the National League and the Detroit Tigers, Champions of the American League, in a rematch of the 1968 Fall Classic. The Cardinals won the rematch in five games and Tony La Russa joined Sparky Anderson as the only managers to win Series titles in each league. This size 14, 10k gold ring weighs 60 grams. The top panel reads “ST. LOUIS CARDINALS WORLD CHAMPIONS” in relief surrounding the Cardinals “St. L” logo made up of approximately 37 red rubies. The face also features a diamond-encrusted infield composed of four baguette-cut diamonds and approximately 44 small round-cut diamonds. The ring has a total diamond weight of approximately 1.25-carats. We have seen other staff rings being offered for $21,000 in SCD. The left panel reads “HERON” in relief above the casted image of Busch Stadium and the Gateway Arch above a Cardinal, two bats and home plate. The right panel reads “2006” in relief above the casted image of the Cardinals logo, the Commissioner's Trophy and “TENTH WORLD SERIES TITLE”. The inside of the ring is stamped “INTERGOLD 10K”. This ring is identical in size and diamond content to player’s rings, with the exception that player's rings were done in 14k gold and the offered piece is crafted of 10k gold. The ring is in MINT condition and comes with the original magnificent presentation box.
