Jimmie Foxx model Louisville Slugger bat with a modified flat barrell on the back. The flat barrell reads “BOSTON RED SOX 1940 SARASOTA FLA” written in black ink. The bat has been signed by 40 members of the 1940 Boston Red Sox. Notable signatures include Hall of Famers Jimmie Foxx, Lefty Grove, Bob Doerr, Ted Williams, Hugh Duffy and player/manager Joe Cronin. Additional signatures include: Jim Tabor, Johnny Peacock, Gene Desautels, Eddie Rommel, Tom Carey, Jack Wilson, Woody Rich, Mickey Harris, Jim Bagby, Ted Olson, Randy Heflin, Tony Lupien, Marv Owen, Emerson Dickman, Earl Johnson, Bill Butland, Joe Heving and Danny Galehouse. Also featured are coaches Moe Berg and Tom Daly. All signatures are done in the same black fountain ink, except two who signed in blue, and in our opinion rate an 8 overall with the Foxx being a 9. The bat is in NM condition. Accompanied by a full LOA from JSA and an additional LOA from PSA/DNA.
