In 1902 at the age of seven, Babe Ruth was sent to St. Mary’s Industrial School for Boys. The reformatory school and specifically Brother Matthias Boutlier, taught Ruth life lessons and most importantly baseball skills. He spent much of the next 12 years there until he was signed to a minor league contract in 1914 with the Baltimore Orioles. Approximately 9” x 11” calendar featuring a photo of the boys baseball team. The top of the calendar reads “St. Mary’s Industrial School FOR BOYS”. Below the photo reads “STATION D, BALTIMORE, MD.” Adjacent below is a full 1913 calendar. The calendar is in GOOD condition with some missing/ripped pieces in the lower right-hand corner.
