The top of the letter reads “The National League of Professional Baseball Clubs” along with the National League logo. Adjacent to the right reads “A. Bartlett Giamatti - President”. The letter is dated “June 30, 1988” and is addressed to Mr. Jack Lang. The letter reads: “Thank you for your letter regarding the incident concerning Pete Rose in Cincinnati. I am sorry not to have acknowledged your support sooner. I appreciate it very much.” At the bottom, the letter is signed by National League President Giamatti in black ballpoint pen with the added inscription “I really value your friendship. My thanks”, in our opinion the signature rates a strong 9. The top of the letter is signed by Pete Rose in blue ballpoint ink, in our opinion the signature rates a strong 9 as well. The letter is in MNT condition. Accompanied by a full LOA from JSA.
