Approximately 10” x 12” personal scrapbook. The book archives Rube Marquard’s illustrious pitching career with photos, stats, newspaper articles and 8 signed letters including one from former American League President Joe Cronin. The second page reads “It was a long hard pull...But he made it…” and “Elected...January 31,1971 - Installed...August 9, 1971” written in blue ink. The scrapbook has been signed by multiple baseball figures. Notable signatures include Hall of Famers: Joe Cronin (x2), Casey Stengel (x2), Brooks Robinson (x2), Rube Marquard, Chick Hafey, Jesse Haines, Bill Terry, Earle Combs, Joe Medwick, Frankie Frisch with the added inscription “The Old Flash”, Charles “Chub” Feeney, Lefty Grove, Zach Wheat, Ford Frick, Stan Coveleski, Edd Roush, Frank Robinson, Warren Giles, Red Ruffing, Satchel Paige, Waite Hoyt, Pie Traynor, Lloyd Waner, Charlie Gehringer, Bob Feller and Bowie Kuhn. Additional signatures include Harry Harper and writer Lawrence Ritter with the added inscription “With love”. All signatures are done in a variety of different inks and markers and in our opinion rate a 9 overall. The scrapbook is in EX condition. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
