An 1899 8” x 10” black and white press photo of Hall of Fame pitcher Charles “Kid” Nichols of the Boston Beaneaters. Nichols is listed seventh for the most wins in MLB history, eleventh in innings pitched and is a three-time NL Wins Champion. He also has eleven 20-win seasons and an astounding seven 30-win seasons. The lower right-hand corner of the photo reads “Chas Nichols” in black. Nichols has signed the lower left-hand side of the photo with the added inscription “To the Steeman Family” in blue ink. The original signature has been non-maliciously enhanced, in black ballpoint pen, by the family for fear that it would be lost due to age/time. The photo is in EX-NM condition. Accompanied by a full LOA from JSA and an additional LOA from Nichols’ family.
