Three “Rawlings” manufactured “OFFICIAL BALL 1988 WORLD SERIES” Ueberroth baseballs. On each ball is the “1988 World Series” logo stamped in red. The first ball is signed by 33 members of the 1988 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers. Signatures include Hall of Fame Manager Tommy Lasorda (ss)(1988 NL Manager of the Year), Orel Hershiser (1988 All-Star, World Series MVP, NL Cy Young, NL Wins Leader & Gold Glove), Kirk Gibson (1988 NL MVP & Silver Slugger), Tim Leary (1988 Silver Slugger), Jose Gonzalez, Steve Sax, Ricky Horton, Jay Howell, Mike Davis, John Tudor, Alfredo Griffin, Tracy Woodson, Rick Dempsey, Jeff Hamilton, Tim Belcher, John Shelby, Brad Havens, Alejandro Pena, Franklin Stubbs, Brian Holton, Tim Crews, Jesse Orosco, Mike Sharperson, Dave Anderson, Fernando Valenzuela, Mike Marshall, Mike Scioscia and Danny Heep. Also featured on the ball are coaches Mark Cresse, Joe Ferguson, Bill Russell and Ron Perranoski. All signatures are done in the same blue ink except that of Manager Tommy Lasorda who signed in a light blue ink, in our opinion the signatures rate a 9 overall. The ball is in NM condition. The second ball features 33 signatures as well, but Mickey Hatcher has signed in place of Fernando Valenzuela. All signatures are done in the same two shades of blue ink, in our opinion the signatures rate a strong 8 overall. The ball is in EX-NM condition. The final ball features 34 signatures, all of them being the same as the second ball with the addition of Coach Manny Mota and Brad Havens having signed twice. All signatures are done in the same two shades of blue ink, in our opinion the signatures rate a strong 8 overall. The ball is in EX-NM condition with some toning. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA and an additional LOA from Orel Hershiser.
