New York Mets catcher Mike Piazza went 1-5 at the plate during Game 1 of the World Series against the New York Yankees. On the inner left front tail is the “Rawlings” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and five flag tags reading size “50”, “SET 1 2000”, “1 INCH EXTRA LENGTH”, “½” WIDER SLEEVE” and “SLEEVE MINUS 1 INCH”. Between the second and third buttons are two corresponding pieces of velcro. Across the front reads “NEW YORK”. Adjacent below and on back is the player number “31”. Across the back is the player name “PIAZZA”. All lettering and numbering is done in the same blue glacier on white on orange tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the “Mets” logo patch embroidered in blue, white, orange and black. Adjacent below is the Rawlings “R” embroidered in blue. On the right sleeve is the “World Series 2000” patch embroidered in orange, blue, sky blue, grey, silver and white on white tackle twill. On the rear collar is the official “MLB” logo embroidered in orange, blue and white. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
