On the front left tail is the “Rawlings” manufacturer’s tag with “BB ONLY” and “25MC” written in black marker. On the inner rear collar is another “Rawlings” tag with size “46” and “MCGW” written in black marker. Adjacent underneath is another tag with “100% POLYESTER”, a list of body fabrics and “BB only” and “MC” written in black marker. The inner rear tail reads “McGwire - NO NAME ON BACK - A-8 - BB ONLY - 1999” all written in black marker. Across the front reads “Cardinals” in red and blue chain-stitch embroidery. On the left sleeve is the Rawlings “R” logo embroidered in white. Across the back is the player number “25” in white on navy blue tackle twill. McGwire has signed the front of the jersey in black marker with the added inscription “70”, in our opinion the signature rates an almost perfect 10. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as worn and in our opinion shows wear. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA and an additional LOA from the Cardinals Assistant General Manager, Charlie Hamilton, on a St. Louis Cardinals letterhead.
