The first attempt of a professional basketball league in the United States was the creation of the American Basketball League (1925-1955), which included the Paterson Whirlwinds. Sans-manufacturer’s tag. Across the front reads “WHIRLWINDS” and player number “3” appears on the front and on the back. All numbering and lettering are done in red on white felt. Inside the rear waistline of the shorts is a size “34” tag. On the waistline reads “FREY 3” in black marker. This uniform was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use.
Late 1940s Paterson Whirlwinds ABL Game-Used Uniform Attributed to Fred Frey (2)
