This silver plate was presented to Hall of Famer (Class of 1961) Andy Phillip to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Zollner Pistons. The Zollner Pistons started in an industrial league in the early 1940s and their owner, Fred Zollner, was an integral part of forming the NBA. The plate weighs 2 pounds and measures roughly 10-1/2" across. It reads “ZOLLNER PISTONS - FORT WAYNE, INDIANA" around the perimeter, enameled in black. The image of a piston appears in the center along with "40 YEAR REUNION" and "JULY 22, 1978" in relief. The plate is in EX condition and is accompanied by a LOA from the family of Andy Phillip.
