Gary Carter was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003 and was a two-time MLB All-Star Game MVP. Inside the sweatband on the cap is a “New Era MAJOR LEAGUE PRO MODEL” manufacturer’s tag with a size “7 ¼” tag adjacent. Also adjacent is an “MLB Authentic Diamond Collection” tag. Player number “8” is written on the underside of the brim. On the front is an “LA” logo embroidered in white stitching. White “Franklin” manufactured batting gloves with blue trim. On the underside of the wrist is a “MLB Authentic Diamond Collection” tag. Carter signed the straps on each wrist in blue pen and in our opinion, rates a 6 overall. “MacGregor” manufactured blue shin guards. Inside on the knee padding on one shin guard reads “8 Kid” and the other one reads “Kid 8” and both are done in black marker. An “Expos” baseball that Carter signed on the sweet spot in blue ballpoint pen and in our opinion, rates a 9. These items are properly tagged, were presented to us as game-used (excluding the baseball) and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and a Carter Foundation LOA.

This lot is consigned to us directly from the Carter Family in an effort to raise money for their charity, The Gary Carter Foundation.

The Gary Carter Foundation aims to better the physical, mental and spiritual well being of children as well as its primary focus, the Autism Project of Palm Beach County. We are proud supporters of their efforts and hope that the auctioning off of these items aids their efforts.
