This item had the honor of being displayed in the New York Football Giants Legacy Club. The New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots 17-14 in Super Bowl XLII as the Patriots were in pursuit of a perfect 19-0 record. Steve Smith had five receptions for 50 yards including a clutch 11-yard catch for a first down with 45 seconds left in the game. On the right inseam is a tag that reads “100% NYLON” with washing instructions. Inside the rear collar is a strip tag that reads “07-42”. On the v-neck is an official “NFL” shield logo embroidered. Below reads “NY” embroidered in red stitching. On the left chest is a “SUPER BOWL XLII” patch. Player number “12” appears on the front, back and on both shoulders. Across the back reads player name “SMITH”. All numbering and lettering are done in the same red tackle twill. Below each player number on the shoulder is a “Reebok” logo embroidered. There’s great signs of game-use throughout the jersey, especially with the turf staining on the back. Inside on the center path is a “Reebok” manufacturer’s tag with the number “12” written on it in black marker. Attached are two flag tags that read “32” and “SHORT”. Below is a materials tag with washing instructions. Near the left hip area is an “NFL EQUIPMENT” shield logo and near the right hip area is a “Reebok” logo embroidered. The pants have built in socks from inside the knee area. These items are properly tagged, were presented to us as game-used in Super Bowl XLII and in our opinion shows outstanding use
