Rod Gilbert was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1982. He was the first player in New York Rangers history to have his number retired. He holds the New York Rangers team records for career goals (406), career points (1021) and games played by a forward (1065). Inside the rear collar is a “GERRY COSBY” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions on it. Adjacent is a size “48” tag. Going diagonally from top right to lower left is “RANGERS”. Player number “7” appears on the back and on both sleeves. Across the back reads player name “GILBERT” sewn directly onto the white jersey. All numbering and lettering are done in the same blue on red tackle twill. Greats signs of game-use with small blood stains on the front. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by a Casey Samuelson LOA.
