1939-46 Exhibit “Salutation” baseball complete card set. Near-Mint condition. Eighty-three cards in total, doubles included. All black and white 5 ¼” x 3 ¼” cardboard cards. Highlights include: Joe DiMaggio, Bill Dickey, Luke Appling, Bob Feller, Jimmie Foxx, Lou Gehrig, Hank Greenberg, Robert “Lefty” Grove, Mel Ott, Pete Reiser (who signed one of his cards, “To Dick, Lots of luck” in blue ballpoint pen and in our opinion, rates an 8), Ted Williams and others. Gehrig (hole), Averill (back skinned), Gomez (EX+), Hartnett (EX+), Klein (skinned), Kreevich (EX-MT+), Lombardi (VG). Some cards have pencil writing on the back which can be easily removed.
