Gary “Kid” Carter was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003. Carter was the first Hall of Famer whose plaque depicts him as a member of the Montreal Expos. Inside the rear collar is a “Wilson” size “44” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Sans year tagging may denote that this was possibly an extra. On the left chest is an “M” logo in red, white and blue tackle twill. Below reads “expos” in blue tackle twill. On the left chest and on the back is player number “8” in red tackle twill. Across the back reads player name “CARTER” in red tackle twill sewn directly onto the powder blue jersey. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows light use. Accompanied by a Carter Foundation LOA.

Lots 128–136 presented in this auction are consigned to us directly from the Carter Family in an effort to raise money for their charity, The Gary Carter Foundation.

The Gary Carter Foundation aims to better the physical, mental and spiritual well being of children as well as its primary focus, the Autism Project of Palm Beach County. We are proud supporters of their efforts and hope that the auctioning off of these items aids their efforts.
