Hank Aaron was a first-ballot Hall of Famer inducted in 1982. The 25-time All-Star won a World Series Championship in 1957 and was the NL MVP in the same year. He led the NL in home runs four times and was named to the MLB All-Century Team. In 1974, Aaron hit home run No. 715 to break Babe Ruth’s career record. On the front left tail is a strip tag with “74” embroidered on it. Inside the rear collar is a “Wilson” size “42” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. There's an "X" written in black marker on the "Wilson" tag and in our opinion, denotes "Xtra", which most examples of jerseys from this year have the strip tag inside the collar. Seam on v-neck collar has been opened. Across the chest reads “Braves”. Player number “44” appears on both the front and on the back. These are both done in blue on white tackle twill with a red-stitch border that now appears pink due to multiple washings. Each sleeve has a “Braves” logo in blue and red on white tackle twill. Aaron signed the jersey under the front player number “44” in black pen and in our opinion, rates a 6. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA, PSA/DNA and an additional LOA from Lelands that notes the jersey is sourced from Joe Gerson, who had a special relationship with the Braves and Aaron as a member of the publicity staff.
