Sparky Anderson was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000. He managed the Cincinnati Reds to two World Series championships in 1975 and 1976 and one in 1984 with the Detroit Tigers. This made him the first manager to win a World Series in both leagues. He has the sixth most wins by a manager in the history of MLB. On the front left tail is a “Wilson” size “40” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Below is a strip tag that reads “85 2” and a tag below that reads “10”, both embroidered on the grey jersey. Across the front reads “DETROIT”. Manager number “11” appears on the back. These are both done in the same navy blue on orange tackle twill. Across the back reads manager name “ANDERSON” in navy blue tackle twill. Accompanied by a pair of 1985 Detroit road pants (not Sparky's) to complete the ensemble. Inside the waistline of the pants is a “Wilson” size “35” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Adjacent are two grey strip tags embroidered that read “31” and “29 85 1 25”. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as manager-worn and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
