Tony Conigliaro was the AL home run champion in 1965. During the 1967 season for the Red Sox in which they won their first winning season since 1958, Conigliaro was hit in the face with a pitch that upset his career trajectory. He won the AL Comeback Player of the Year in 1969. On the front left tail is a “McAULIFFE UNIFORM CORP.” manufacturer’s tag. Below are two tags that read “70” and “44”. Across the front reads “RED SOX”. Player number “25” appears on the back. All numbering and lettering are done in the same red felt on navy blue felt sewn directly onto the flannel jersey. Immaculate all-around condition. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use while still maintaining it’s magnificent appearance.
