Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is widely considered to be one of the greatest NBA players of all time. During his 20 years in the NBA, he scored 38,387 points, the highest total of any player in league history in addition to winning a record six MVP Awards. In 1979, the Lakers acquired Magic Johnson as the first overall draft pick, paving the way for a second Jabbar dynasty as the Lakers went on to become the most dominant team of the 1980’s, appearing in the finals eight times and winning five NBA championships. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1995 and in 1996 was named to the NBA Top 50 Players of all time. Inside the rear collar is the “Tiernan” manufacturer’s tag. Across the back is player name “ABDUL-JABBAR” done in purple on white tackle twill. On the left chest is the team “LAKERS” patch embroidered in purple and yellow chain stitch on white tackle twill. The jacket is properly tagged, was presented to us as worn and in our opinion, shows excellent wear.
