This watch was presented to Orsten Artis after he and the 1965-66 Texas Western Miners basketball team defeated Kentucky for the NCAA Championship. The team is famous for becoming the first team with an all-black starting lineup to win an NCAA basketball national championship. The team was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007. The “BULOVA” watch weighs 59 grams and is made of 10k rolled gold palladium. The face of the watch reads “NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPION 1966”. The verso of the watch is engraved to read “Orsten Artis - TWC 72 - Kentucky 65 - 28-1”. The watch is in EX condition and is accompanied by a LOA from Orsten Artis.
