Vito Parilli teamed with Bear Bryant for three consecutive strong seasons at the basketball crazy University of Kentucky from 1949-1951. The Wildcats won nine games in 49’, eleven in 50’, and eight in 51’; a three-year period regarded as the pinnacle of UK football history. Parilli received the nickname “Kentucky Babe” from adoring Blue Grass state fans. He threw 50 touchdowns during his three seasons. Babe won UP first-team All-American honors in both 1950 and 1951, gaining a reputation as the best college drop back passer of his era. In 1950, Parilli finished fourth in the Heisman voting and in 1951 he moved to number three. Inside the left rear tail is the “MacGregor Goldsmith” tag with size “42”. Adjacent is the “Hunt” distributor’s label and a wash instructions label. Player number “10” appears on both the front and back in white tackle twill. Babe has signed the front number in black marker rating a near perfect 10. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
