Reggie Lewis passed away tragically on the basketball court at an off-season practice on July 27, 1993 at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He was only 27 years old. His number “35” jersey was retired by the Celtics as a memorial to him. On the left front tail is the “Champion” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “46”. Adjacent is a second “Champion” tag with “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Boston Celtics 1992-93 Body Length +2”. Across the front is “CELTICS”. Player number “35” appears on both the front and back. Player name “LEWIS” appears on back. All numbers and letters are done in white tackle twill. On the left chest is the official NBA embroidered logo. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
