Hall of Famer Vern Mikkelsen was a six-time NBA All-Star (1951–1953, 1955–1957). This trophy was presented to Mikkelsen and commemorates his first four All-Star Game appearances. The trophy stands approximately 18 inches tall and weighs 4 lbs. The trophy features a brass regulation-size basketball atop a plastic base.The basketball is engraved with “NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION”. The base features an engraved brass plaque that reads “VERN MIKKELSEN - MEMBER ALL STAR TEAM - MARCH 2, 1951 — BOSTON - FEBRUARY 11, 1952 — BOSTON - JANUARY 13, 1953 — FT. WAYNE - JANUARY 18, 1955 — NEW YORK”. The trophy is in NRMT condition and is accompanied by a LOA from Vern Mikkelsen.
