Mark Messier is considered one of the greatest NHL players of all time. He is second on the all-time career lists for regular season points (1887), playoff points (295) and regular season games played (1756). He won six Stanley Cups and is the only player to captain two different professional teams to championships. In 2007, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. Inside the rear collar is the “CCM” flag tag with adjacent size “56” flag tag. Inside the left seam is a large “CCM Maska” flag tag. Inside the rear tail is a large patch with “1998 1999 GAME WORN Limited Edition”. On the outer rear tail is the “CCM” patch and “NHL” logo shield. The fight strap is intact with “S2 #2” written in black marker.. On front is the team large logo patch. Adjacent on the left chest is the Captain’s “C”. Player number “11” appears on the back and on both sleeves. All these numbers and letters are done in navy blue on silver sparkle on red tackle twill. Player name “MESSIER” appears across the back in navy blue tackle twill on a white nameplate. Messier has signed the front in black marker adding the inscription “#11” rating a 6. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a Spirit of the Game LOA which states this jersey was given to a lucky fan on April 14th after a Canucks home game as part of the “Shirt off the back” giveaway. Further accompanied by a LOA from JSA as well as a LOA from Casey Samuelson.
