When discussing the best sports movies of all time, undoubtedly “The Bad News Bears” is in the discussion. We all remember Buttermaker drinking beer and yelling, Tanner picking a fight with the 7th grade, Amanda’s great curve ball, the great arm of Timmy Lupus and of course the one and only Kelly Leak. Adding his presence to this Godfather-esque lineup was the non-English speaking, no strike zone as he was three foot nothing Miguel Aguilar. This uniform comes to us from George Gonzales, the actor who played Miguel in the Bad News Bears. The manufacturer’s tags in the collar are heavily faded and unreadable. Across the front is “BEARS 7”. On back is the infamous and unmistakable “Chico’s Bail Bonds” sponsorship logo. On the left sleeve is the “NVL Bears” embroidered patch. Accompanied by a matching pair of pants and yellow team cap with the same “NVL Bears” patch on front. This uniform is nothing short of awesome and is further accompanied by a LOA from George Gonzales as well as a signed head shot and team photo, only signed by Gonzalez…”Now get back to the stands before I shave off half your mustache and shove it up your left nostril”.
