Gene Conley is best known as being the only person to win championships in two of the four major American sports. Conley was a pitcher on the World Champion 1957 Milwaukee Braves before winning three NBA Championships in his time with the Celtics. This size 10.5, 10k gold ring weighs 20 grams and was presented to Gene Conley after he was selected to the 1955 National League All-Star Team. With the game tied 5-5 in the top of the 11th, Conley struck out all three batters he faced prior to Stan Musial belting a walk-off homer for the NL. The face of the ring reads “NATIONAL LEAGUE ALL STAR GAME” enameled in blue. The ring features a baseball in relief along with a white and green enameled infield. At the center of the baseball is a .03-carat round-cut diamond. The right panel reads “1955” in relief. The left panel features a casted image of a baseball, two bats and a banner. The inside of the ring is engraved with the player name “GENE CONLEY” and stamped “10K”. The ring is in EX condition and is accompanied by a LOA from Gene Conley that states, “I was the winning pitcher at that game. Stan (the Man) hit a homer in the 12th to win the game.”
