For 13 seasons with the Boston Celtics, Larry Bird personified hustle, consistency and excellence in all areas of play; as a scorer, a passer, a rebounder, a defender, a team player, and, perhaps above all, as a clutch performer. Few played tougher than Bird, who would leap into crowds and over press tables for loose balls. NBA Top 50 player, Basketball Hall of Fame, Class of 1998. On the left front tail is the “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag with jersey size “46”. Directly above is the “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Boston Celtics” tag. Across the front is “CELTICS”. Player number “33” appears on both the front and back. The front numbers are a-typical, not Sand-Knit numbers as the jersey was lettered locally. Player name “BIRD” appears across the back. All numbers and letters are done in white tackle twill. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use.
