In 1966, Dave Bing joined the NBA as a second overall first-round pick of the Detroit Pistons, where in his rookie year he scored 1,601 points and was named the NBA Rookie of the Year. The next year, he led the NBA in scoring with 2,142 points (27.1 ppg). While with the Pistons, he played in seven NBA All-Star Games (1968, 1969, 1971–1976, and winning the 1976 NBA All-Star Game MVP Award). He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1990 and voted one of the NBA’s 50 Greatest Players in 1996. On the left front tail is the “Wilson” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “42”. Attached is a flag tag with “4”X Long” hand written and very faded. Across the front is “DETROIT”. Player number “21” appears on both the front and back. Player name “BING” appears on back. All numbers and letters are done in white tackle twill with a red embroidered border. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows excellent use.
