Sidney Moncrief's NBA career started with the Milwaukee Bucks in 1979 when he was drafted 5th overall. Moncrief spent the next 10 seasons with the Bucks. Moncrief was most known for his tenacious defensive plays and was named the NBA Defensive Player of the Year for the 1982-83 and 1983-84 seasons. The Bucks retired his no. 4 jersey in 1990. On the left front tail inside the left seam is the “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag with jersey size “40”. Above is the “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Milwaukee Bucks” tag. Adjacent is a white strip tag with “86-40 2”LB” indicating jersey year, size and additional length, respectively. Across the front is “BUCKS”. Player number “4” appears on both the front and back. All these numbers and letters are painted on in dark green with a light green border. Player name “MONCRIEF” appears on back in dark green painted on block letters on a white nameplate. On the left chest is the official NBA embroidered logo. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows light use. This is a tough shirt, only the second Moncrief Bucks that we know of.
