For 13 seasons with the Boston Celtics, Bird personified hustle, consistency and excellence in all areas of play; as a scorer, a passer, a rebounder, a defender, a team player, and, perhaps above all, as a clutch performer. Few played tougher than Bird, who would leap into crowds and over press tables for loose balls. Basketball Hall of Fame, Class of 1998. Top 50 All-Time player. Inside the rear collar is the "Sand-Knit" manufacturer’s tag with size “46”. Above is the "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Boston Celtics" tag. Across the front is "CELTICS" done in green painted on block letters with yellow borders. On each sleeve is the official "Celtics Shamrock" logo done in the same pattern. On the back is the player name "BIRD" embroidered in white tackle twill on a green nameplate which is sewn directly onto the jacket. The Celtics began to stich their name plates on the jackets after fans began to reach down as the players ran through the tunnel and rip the snap-on/velcro nameplates off the warm-ups. This nameplate is embroidered right over the original Velcro strips on back. On the right breast is the official embroidered NBA logo. The jacket is properly tagged, was presented to us as worn and in our opinion, shows wear.
