According to Terry Pluto’s collection of the oral history of the ABA, Loose Balls, Boone received his nickname “The Legend” because without fail he showed up to training camp year after year in perfect playing shape as if the previous season never ended. Boone was known for driving a bright orange Cadillac Eldorado during his playing days, which was representative of his style of play. Ron finished his career averaging 16.8 ppg (ABA & NBA), 4 ABA All-Star appearances, and an ABA championship with the Utah stars in 1971. This sterling silver bracelet weighs 50 grams and measures 7-½” long. The center piece is engraved “RON “1000” BOONE” on the outside, with a signature engraved on the verso. the piece commemorates Boone’s 1,000th consecutive game, a feat he accomplished on October 31, 1980. The bracelet is in NRMT condition with minimal wear and it is accompanied by a LOA from Ron Boone.
