Circa 1930 William Bardin Stanford Cardinals home football uniform in which Bardin and his teammates were coached by Pop Warner (Featured in football section of yearbook). White football sweater with “The Ettery Arms company” manufacturer’s tag inside left tail. Player number “19” is done in white canvas on a red number-plate on both the front and back. “S.U. 42” is stamped onto the front tail in black. Red rings around sleeves have bled slightly over the years. Red pants with player number “19” pressed onto right hip. Pants show sports apparel history with; small leather knee-pads on outside, slots inside legs for pads, drawstring to tighten waist, and canvas belt with metal buckle. The pants show heavy game use, with repairs throughout. White with red ring stockings with “F.B” stamped atop each showing good use. Accompanied and improving this sports history rich lot is a 1931 Stanford Quad which is their name for the Cardinal Yearbook (NM condition overall). Page 1996 of the yearbook contains “REVIEW OF SEASON” with a team photo featuring Bardin possibly in this very uniform 5th row at end. Page 197 has the team “ROSTER AND STATISTICS” including Bardin. Lot is accompanied by great provenance besides the yearbook.
