This wooden plaque measures 13” x 10-1/2”. It was presented to Muhammad Ali on November 6, 1986 upon his induction to the World Boxing Hall of Fame in Riverside, California. The plaque reads “World Boxing Hall of Fame - HONORS - MUHAMMAD ALI FORMER HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD - BY INDUCTION INTO THIS MEMORIAL SHRINE AS ONE OF THE GREATEST BOXERS IN HISTORY, JOINING HIS ELITE PEERS IN PERPETUITY”. In the lower left corner the plaque features a typo on the date, represented as “November 6,1982” instead of 1986. A corrected plaque was produced and given to Ali and an identical plaque exists at the WBHoF.
