Steel combination axe-hammer-pry bar. Measures approximately 11-1/2” x 3-1/2” x ½” and weighs 1.14 lbs. “THE BELDEN MACHINE CO.” has been cast into the handle along with “NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A.” on the verso. This vintage combination tool was as a prop during the filming of “Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein” in 1948. In the scene where Abbott and Costello receive a shipping crate containing Dracula’s coffin, this axe-hammer was used by Bud Abbott to pry the crate open. The tool is in VG condition with some rust expected of a 60+ year-old steel tool. It is accompanied by an additional LOA.
