Barry Bonds remains the all-time career home run leader with 762 as well as holding the single season mark with 73. On the inner sweat band is “THE PRO” label along with the “MacGregor Sports Specialties” label with size “7-1/8”. Player number “24” appears under the bill in black marker. During the 1986 season (Bonds Rookie campaign), the Pirates wore Pillbox style caps by “New Era” for the last time and in 1987 the solid black caps returned under “MacGregor” for one season only. “New Era” then took over for good. “MacGregor” caps with this labeling are considered quite scarce. The cap is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows heavy use with sweat and dirt staining.
