Written in black marker on the rear inner padding is “9/26/98 #2926 VS AZ” indicating this is the helmet he used in obtaining his 2,926th career hit. The player number “19” as well as “abc” manufacturer decals appear on the back of the helmet both in white. The interlocking “SD” logo decal appears on the front of the helmet in white and orange.
